Dr. Denise Smith is a board-certified vascular surgeon with extensive experience in both academic and clinical settings. She brings a unique blend of technical expertise and compassionate care to Coastal Vascular and Interventional. Dr. Smith is passionate about improving outcomes for patients with vascular disease, combining minimally invasive and open surgical techniques to meet each patient’s unique needs.

About Dr. Smith

Dr. Denise Smith is a board-certified vascular surgeon with advanced training in both open and minimally invasive procedures. She earned her medical degree and Ph.D. in biomedical engineering from the University of Cincinnati, where she also completed her integrated vascular surgery residency.

Before joining Coastal Vascular and Interventional, Dr. Smith practiced in Tallahassee and Atlanta, serving in leadership roles including Medical Director of a vascular lab and wound care physician. She has also taught future surgeons as a clinical faculty member at Florida State University College of Medicine.

A U.S. Air Force veteran and published researcher, Dr. Smith is an active member of the Society for Vascular Surgery, American Venous Forum, and other leading organizations. She is committed to delivering personalized, evidence-based care to patients throughout the Panhandle.
